Today I've been working on a couple of new Christmas ornaments, I've really enjoyed sewing recently, and I like how this little felt owl turned out! I'll have to make a few for our tree before December.
I've just got back from donating blood, and luckily I felt a lot better than last time. It's my second time donating, the first I got up too quickly and ended up feeling quite faint! This time I felt a little faint but made sure to rest for a bit longer before I stood up. The people there were very helpful and always attentive to how you are feeling, which is lovely, so even though I felt a little sick they were there straight away and made me feel safe.
It doesn't hurt as much as I first assumed it would, each time it's like a sharp scratch and that's it. It leaves a little bit of a bruise on your arm afterwards, but it's really worth doing if you have the time. If you're female you can donate every 4 months, and if you're male it's every 3.
If you live in the UK you can book an appointment to donate by visiting www.blood.co.uk, I'd love to hear people's experiences about donating blood, what made you want to do it?
