Fancy A Slice Of Toast?

I've recently started setting myself small goals for each day, one of these goals is just to be more creative, make new things everyday.

I sewed together these felt toasts and doughnuts recently, most of them I had created before in a smaller brooch form, but it's a nice change of pace to make something a little bigger. (The mini toast plushies above are about the size of a real slice of toast!)

When I was studying the arts in school my teachers would constantly tell me to make things bigger, I always seemed to drift towards creating small delicate pieces and found larger work a challenge, I think I still struggle with that today.

It's nice making things again without worrying so much about the outcome.

  1. So cute -- love the mustache and the pb&j! I crochet (for my other shop) pretend food for kids and have a pb&j ready to list, and I make toast coasters too! Fun! You do great work -- love that cheese toast too! It's always good to expand a bit, and if you can use a design you already have, even better!

  6. These are so cute and creative!! I love them!! Thanks for stopping by and commenting by the way! You're comments definitely made my day. It's so true about how easy Facebook makes it to compare yourself to others and I definitely agree that people are willing to be more open on blogs. I guess there is an aspect of anonymity to it because you get to choose who knows about your blog.
