Hair & Temporary Changes

This morning I attempted to dye my hair lilac. I had a small bit of temporary dye left from when I used to occasionally colour the tips of my hair whilst it was very long.

It turned out quite funny looking! Almost like a gradient of blonde from the roots to lilac at the ends, I don't mind it though and since the dye is temporary it will wash out in a few days. I think I might try other colours in the future.

About a year ago I cut off all my hair because to be honest I fancied a change. Along with this change came unexpected feelings of strength and I guess control, almost everyone told me not to do it, but I did anyway. I figured that if it looked awful it would grow back eventually. It turned out looking okay, but I'm slowly allowing my hair to grow back and can even tie it into a bobble which is pretty exciting!

I'm looking forward to having long hair again, being able to curl it and put it into all sorts of fancy styles, but I did love having short hair. It was so easy to maintain, no hairdryer required, no awful tangles in the morning and not having to use as much shampoo or conditioner.

Also if you're anything like me you always ended up somehow getting ice cream in your hair in the summertime.. I blame living near a windy beach.
